How you can help
North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service is a registered charity. We rely on grants, donations and ongoing funding to keep operating and developing, to maintain our core activity, develop new projects, and improve and expand our service.
Here are just some of the ways you can help us:
Make a donation
With your donations you will be helping us continue our work and providing our much needed services to our community.
- One-off donation
- Regular donation by Direct Debit
- Leaving a legacy in your will
Gift Aid it
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue. This means that a £10 Gift Aid donation, is worth £12.80 to us. This makes a massive difference to us, and it doesn't cost you a thing!
Amazon Charity Wish List
To help us continue our work you can donate an item from our Wish List on Amazon.
Businesses
Sponsor some new equipment, printing our marketing literature or a specific service related to your business area. Gain visibility within the local area - it's tax deductible. Make us the Charity of the Year at your company. Donations from raffles or contests, no matter how big or small, are always welcome. Contact us to find out how the Citizens Advice Bureau can become part of your marketing and PR strategy.
Become a volunteer
All sorts of people volunteer for many different reasons, but one thing that unites them all is that they find it challenging, rewarding and varied. North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service relies on volunteers to help meet the ever-growing demand for advice and help and without our volunteers we would not be able to provide our much needed services.
There are many ways to get involved. You could train to be an advisor, help streamline the office administration systems, use your IT skills, language skills or knowledge of local communities, or sit on the management committee and help with fundraising, publicity or our social policy work.
Voluntary work for the Citizens Advice Bureau gives good experience for paid employment. You get 100% support, full training and your expenses paid. We are committed to equal opportunities for our workers and clients, and welcome volunteers regardless of race, gender, sexuality or disabilities.
If you think you have the time and commitment, and would like to find out more, please contact us, or call your nearest bureau.
