The North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service is a charity and relies on the support of people like you. Our Citizens Advice Bureaux help people resolve their problems through two approaches: by offering free, quality advice, and by initiating campaigns for policy change.
Please consider supporting us with a donation. Any amount can make a difference and would greatly be appreciated.
You can send your donation to:

Gift Aid

Every gift you make to North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service, whatever its value, could be worth more at no extra cost to you just by choosing to Gift Aid it. Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs will add an extra 25p to every £1 you give to NACAS.
How does Gift Aid work?
Gift Aid is surprisingly easy to use. Gift Aid can apply to donations of any amount, large or small, by cash, cheque, postal order, direct debit, standing order, debit or credit card. As soon as you give your permission by completing a Gift Aid declaration form, we can claim the tax back on your donation. This means that a £10 donation will be worth £12.50 and for every £50 gift, we will actually receive £62.50.
If you are a UK taxpayer, all you have to do is complete a North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service Gift Aid declaration. What's more, one single Gift Aid declaration can apply to all past donations you have made (since April 2000) and to all future donations you make.
As a higher rate taxpayer looking to reclaim tax from your donation, all you have to do is remember to include details of your charitable gifts on your tax form. Also, from April 2003, higher rate taxpayers will be able to reclaim tax relief from donations paid to charity both during the previous tax year and during the current tax year, that means the relief is paid that much quicker.
Do I qualify for Gift Aid?
If you are a UK tax payer, yes. Even if you are not employed, you are still eligible if you are paying tax on any of the following:
- Personal or occupational pension.
- Stocks and shares.
- Bank and building society savings accounts.
- Rental income.
- Overseas and UK investment dividends.
How do I start using Gift Aid?
